Welcome to Earthenbrook's new event, the EBS Australiana Show! During the stay of the show you are welcome to use the facilities we offer such as our guest stables, the arenas, cross country course and guest accomodation. We have events with a difference at this show and we hope to see many contestants! his show has been designed to test horse, rider and artist.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Start: April 2nd, 2013
End: July 2nd, 2013, Australian Eastern Standard Time
Preregistration is not necessary but preferred. If you do pre-reg please include the horses name, link to a ref, your stables and the classes you wish to enter.
This is an EFFORT based show. You do not have to complete extra images however if you do you will have a better chance of winning

EVENTS

Each of these events will have a unique Australian spin on them, so have fun, get creative and bring out the inner Aussie in you!

Racing - This class will be held on the race track, see here for more info: Earthenbrook see here: [link] For this class you will need to display your horse in more informal attire. This race will be based on the country race meetings and thus the more country you look the better placed you will be.

Showjumping - This class will be held in the outdoor sand arena and follows the course shown here: [link] The jumps however will be different to those pictured. In your entry you must have something uniquely australian pictured. For example your jump may be the Australian flag, or your rider may be riding in a cork hat, its up to you. The jump off will NOT take place.

Cross country - What better way to enjoy this country than taking a ride through it? You will follow the 1* course shown here: [link] HOWEVER, Australia is a land full of danger and challenge. In your entry you must show something going wrong. The stable cattle may wander onto the course, you may encounter a dangerous snake or simply go the wrong way. Get creative!

Dressage - This class will take place in the dressage arenas in the middle of the race track. The test that all horses will have to perform is the Australian 5A: [link] You must draw your horse performing one of these movements. There are two requirements for this. You must be dressed up as an australian icon. You could be the harbour bridge, AC/DC, a Kangaroo again, this is up to you. The second is that if you have music it must be by an australian artist. This could be traditional aboriginal music or the likes of AC/DC.

Halter/Fancy Dress - This will be a combined class, you do not have to dress up but it would be awesome if you did! Again keep it Australian themed. Very simple for this one, there is no dress code, horse and handler may wear what they like. This class will be held in the indoor arena.

Campdrafting - What would this show be without holding the one unique australian equestrian event! Horse and rider must cut a cow from the mob, turn it a few times in the pen then chase the cow around 2 pegs and finally through the gate at the end. For a good example see: [link] You can show your horse cutting the cattle or out running it. The first two pegs are small trees and the gate it two wooden fence posts. This class will be held in the out door arena.

Storywriting - This class will be fairly open however it is preferred that you write your story about Earthenbrook, your stay at the show or Australia in general. The story can be any length, perspective, character whatever. If it is going to be a longer story, say 1000+ words please let me know Its getting rare to see storis now a days. DAY 1
Weather: Sunny not a cloud in the sky, 25 degrees C
1000 - Welcome to the event, complimentary morning tea in mess hall, run down of schedule for riders.
1400 - Halter/Fancy Dress in indoor arena. All welcome to watch.
1800 - Dinner served in mess hall

DAY 2
Weather: Slight cloud cover, 23 degrees C
0600 - Breakfast served in mess hall
0900 - Dressage in race track arenas start. Spectators not allowed onto the centre of the track.
1400 - Showjumping in outdoor arena, Spectators welcome in the grand stand.
1800 - Dinner served in mess hall

DAY 3
Weather: Cloud cover, 19 degrees C
0600 - Breakfast served in mess hall
0900 - Cross country starts, spectators welcome to watch anywhere along the course.
1400 - Reading of story entries by authors in the conference building.
1800 - Dinner served in mess hall

DAY 4
Weather: Clear skies again, 26 degrees C
0600 - Breakfast served in mess hall
0900 - Camp drafting start in outdoor arena. Spectators welcome in grand stand.
1700 - Presentation of winners at the winners circle of the race track and debrief
1900 - Party held in the VIP box of the race track

RULES

Please follow these rules. The breaking of any will have you disqualified.

ALL breeds allowed, fantasy breeds may use abilities it will not affect scores.
Horses of all ages may enter but i dont want to see 1 year olds being ridden and so on.
Riders/handlers may be any age
Any stable may enter, independant or associated with a group

All ratings will be accepted but if you image is over PG-13 it MUST have the filter on it.
